“Dagger 22: U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations in Bala Murghab, Afghanistan” is a sequel of New York Times bestselling book Level Zero Heroes.



Level Zero Heroes is a bestselling book from Michael Golembesky which tells us about the Marine Special Operations Team 8222 carried out in Bala Murghab, Afghanistan. This operation was just the starting of warriors who have become tough after the battle.

The winter season of Afghanistan is unforgiving and this team of 22 men of Marine Special Operations Team 8222 has finally settled down. They have a call sign Dagger 22. The valley of Bala Murghab, Afghanistan is very remote and hostile.

It is during this time that the Taliban fighters become dormant and they will continue to rest till the new spring season begins. But, it looks that this winter season will be quite different from the previous one.

The Marine of Dagger 22 along with International Security Forces (NATO) and Afghan forces push their way in the battlefield in this harsh winter season. They want to accomplish their objective before the ice starts to melt.

With Marine Special Operation Team 8222 (MARSOC), Michael Golembesky has served as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller. The earlier book written by him, Level Zero Heroes, went on to become the New York Times bestseller.
